Day 1: Cusco – Ocongate – Tinqui – Upis

Start Ausangate Trek 5 Days

We leave Cusco at 05:00 am, in a private bus to the town of Upis Pampa, driving the car we pass through the district of Urcos until we reach the district of Urcos

Were we can visit the local market, once we arrive at Upis Pampa we will have breakfast and begin the incredible adventure and we will arrive at Upis Huramisaya in this place we will have dramatic views

Once we arrive at the camp, our lunch will be ready and in the afternoon we will visit the Upis lagoon that consists of 2 hours round trip and enjoy the thermal baths.

Day 2: Upis – Puca Cocha- Ananta

We will wake up very early at 5 am approximate with coca tea where we will have a service of 1, basically, we will take you to your tent After that

We will start packing things, have breakfast, and start walking this incredible place until the Abra Arapa is uphill at 4958 m, then we will descend until our lunch, once in the place we will enjoy an incredible lunch prepared by our chef, after enjoying lunch we will continue walking uphill until the 2 pucacocha pass (5000 m)

After enjoying the wonderful views we will start to descend a couple of hours to our camp called ananta where we will rest in that place and of course, we will have a dinner and at night observe and enjoy glaciers, lakes and small rivers.

Day 3: Ananta – Rainbow Mountain – Ausangate Cocha

The awakening will be at 4:00 am with coca tea. and then have our nutritious breakfast, and then we will start to walk to the beautiful surimi pass, which is 5051 m.

From this place, we will observe the mountain of colors even in the distance.

Then we will go down to a circular lagoon and then we will continue walking until we reach the mountain of colors, where we will enjoy the mountain of colors and its surroundings

We will be approximately at 7 am, then we will continue until the Alkatiri where we will have lunch and dinner will basically be our camp where we will enjoy the incredible colorful mountains

Day 4: Ausangate Cocha – Quinsacocha – Jampa

After a nutritious breakfast, we will start hiking to one of the highest points of our Ausangate trek 5300m, called Paso Palomani. You will feel like you are in the clouds because this place is the highest around Cusco.

We will appreciate the great canyons and beautiful valleys of the Andes and having good energy we will be able to see condors and also the snow-capped peak of Ausangate where we will appreciate this magical place and for the course make a ceremony to this natural protector apu.

On the way, we will appreciate beautiful views of glaciers, streams, lagoons, red lakes, chinchillas, and alpacas where we will walk up and down to Huchuy Pinaya

After a nutritious lunch we will walk to our Surapampa lunch where in this place you can see many chinchillas since it’s a rocky place

Day 5: Jampa – Pacchanta – Cusco

Ready for the 5th day, we will start walking uphill for about 3 hours to reach the last pass 4900m.

From this point, we will be able to appreciate the highest glaciers and the Ausangate 7 lakes and then we descend until the Pacchanta lunch where our cook prepares our last supper.

There are some incredible thermal baths in Pacchanta in the middle of the mountain so after walking 5 days I am bathing will be incredible and enjoy a beer then we will start to say goodbye to our staff and return to Cusco and then to the hotel

Recommendations
