Lares Trek And Short Inca Trail To Machu Picchu 4 days, is one of the most beautiful treks in Cusco.
If you did not get tickets for the Inca Trail or you do not like treks with large numbers of people, this is the perfect alternative, with beautiful scenery with visits to local villages that preserve their traditions.
On the way you will see llamas, alpacas that are native to many Latin American countries, these were especially sacred to the Incas.
On the Lares Trek and Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu for four days, you will meet the cheerful local people who still wear the traditional attire (bright and colorful) of the original natives of the area.
Inca Trail two days and one night to Machu Picchu with a sunset experience in Machu Picchu on our 1st day are to now very much the Inca culture; having this adventure day hike we will visit the most important Inca site of the famous Inca Trail, Chachabamba, Wiñayhuayna «Forever young», at noon we will arrive at La Puerta del Sol (inti punku) and in the afternoon a beautiful sunset with free time to get nice pictures for your family album. Both days we will enjoy one of the seven wonders of the world Machu Picchu.
CAUTION: It is necessary that you acclimatize for at least 2 days in the city of Cusco to avoid altitude sickness.
The day will start at 5:30 a.m. when we pick you up from your hotel. Heading to the City of Pisac (1 hour approx.) there we will have a historical account of the ruins of Pisac while enjoying the sunrise and the breathtaking view of the Pisac Valley and a delicious breakfast. Afterwards, we will travel to the town of Huaran (40 min.). It is here that you will link up with our staff, regroup and organize for our adventure to Lares Trek to Machu Picchu.
We will start the day with a gentle and easy hike where you will see the natural way of life of the local people of this region and observe the corn and potato fields.
We will continue hiking for 3 hours, until lunchtime. After lunch, we recommend a siesta. Then we will walk for about 1 hour until we reach the «Cancha – Campo» camp with an impressive view of the snow-capped mountain and the main road that we will follow for the next three days.
We will be able to share moments with local families who preserve their ancestral traditions and enjoy a hot drink. In the evening we will delight in watching the constellations and snow-capped peaks.
We will start the day at 5:45 a.m. with a refreshing «coca tea» to avoid altitude sickness. After preparing for the hike, we will visit local villages where we recommend bringing gifts (clothes, toys, especially books and pencils). In case you have altitude sickness during this steep climb to the top, we will have horses to ride while resting (Approx. 4 hrs.) to the peak called «Pachacutec».
Arriving at the village called «Acopata» we will enjoy a cup of coca/soda tea while contemplating the crystalline lagoons and observing part of the sacred valley. The hike will have its ups and downs (40 min. Approx.) until we reach our lunch area near a lagoon with abundant «trout».
We will continue with the hike to the Quishurani area, still descending for 1:40 min. approximately, to stop for lunch. After lunch, we will continue for another 2 hours to reach Quishurani. Here we will enjoy the way of life of the local communities and then take a bus to Ollantaytambo for 2 hours. Once there, we will have dinner and sleep in the camp or lodge.
Nuestra aventura comienza con el recojo en su hotel (5:30 a.m.) donde nos dirigiremos a la estación de tren, (para tomar nuestro tren) hasta el «Kilómetro 104».es 1 hora y 30 minutos de recorrido; una vez allí pasaremos el control, comienza nuestra caminata del Camino Inca Corto. Nuestra primera caminata es de aproximadamente 4 horas para llegar al complejo arqueológico «wiñayhuayna». Después, se servirá el almuerzo. (En realidad, tendré un box lunch. Si usted es vegetariano o tiene alguna alergia, hágamelo saber).
Después del almuerzo, continuará la caminata hacia el (Intipunku-Sungate), una hora y media entonces Tendrá tiempo para tomar algunas fotos (EL PRIMER MIRADOR DE MACHUPICCHU) y luego va a ser sólo 40 minutos a Machu Picchu, una de las siete maravillas del mundo y el lugar misterioso, tendremos que coger el autobús a «Machu Picchu Pueblo», y usted tendrá la cena en el restaurante y pasar la noche en nuestro albergue.
After a delicious early breakfast, we will board the bus that will transport us to the Majestic Lost City of the Incas, «Machu Picchu». The trek leader will impart the history of this mystical place. We will have the opportunity to visit the «Temple of the Sun», the «Royal Palace», the «Main Temple», the «Temple of the Three Windows» and the «Sun Dial». Here we promise you an unforgettable experience. After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore.
If you have booked your visit to «Huaynapicchu» (tickets limited to 400 per day – not included), you will start your hike at 7:00 – 10:00 a.m.; please coordinate with the Tour Guide your visit depending on the schedule programmed by the Municipality.
There are many more activities that you can do. These activities are optional (not included in the package), for example, the «Puerta del Sol» (2 hours walk up and down), where you will appreciate the Inca city from a different point of view.
In the afternoon, you will take the train (4:20 p.m.) to reach the town of Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, we will have transportation waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco (2 hours approx.).
It depends on the capacity of the train to return to Ollantaytambo.
