Tambopata Reserve 4 Days – the unforgettable experience of biodiversity of flora and fauna? Tambopata is one of the most incredible destinations of excellent environmental diversity, with many different types of forests and some beautiful lakes, the macaw clay lick (Macamayo Clay Lick ) In the reserve there is one of the largest natural clay licks in the country and it is one of the most outstanding of the flora and fauna of Peru.
Here you can see hundreds and hundreds of brightly colored parrots and gaucamayos, they come daily to this place to feed on the mineral salts. The environmental professionals with the study they did in this place draw the conclusion that it is due to the strategic location of the Amazon lowland forest and with three other ecosystems, in this place, there are at least 13 species in danger of extinction, such as the jaguar, the giant otter, the harpy eagle, and the giant armadillo etc .
The family of Sullpayky experiences will show you the behaviors of the wildlife of this magical place where Mother Earth (Pachamama) is concentrated and this tour is personalized and our very experienced guides will be at your disposal for all the questions you have.
Welcome to this beautiful place in Puerto Maldonado, our Sullpayky Experiences family will meet you at the airport and take you to the office to register.
The luggage you have will be stored in the store that we have safely and then we will go in a private transport to the port of Capiatania where we will board the boat to Madre de Dios (name of the region) for approximately 40 minutes to our lodge, where We will enjoy a fresh drink from the place, Our first adventure will begin with the activity of the incredible zip line in a circuit of 200 long, the impressive views are only matched by the emotion of overcoming our fears and the adrenaline that runs through us while We jump from the platform supported by high security harnesses that connect us to the zipline cable to a platform 27 meters high. The 75m long log walkway, hanging 27m off the ground, leaves this platform, a risky balancing act, and brings us to the platform at the start of the second zipline, a 160m flight back to the tower and the staircase that descends. to the forest floor. It will be a lot of adrenaline and adventure
In the afternoon after lunch we will have another activity called kayaking where we will use good quality life jackets it is a level one adventure it is very fun and relaxing basically for everyone when you arrive at the monkey island you will be able to observe a variety of monkeys such as capuchins, tamarines and squirrel monkeys where they make a show hanging from trees and branches and large trunks and at night watch the alligators
After a breakfast prepared by our cook and distributed our lunch to each traveler, we will board the boat to the control of the Tambopata National Reserve area, then after an hour walking through the tropical jungle we will approach the famous Sandoval lagoon where we can Appreciate giant trees, flowers of many colors and with an exuberant fauna such as giant otters, turtle birds and a variety of fish, basically relaxing in the canoe and then returning to the lodge and having dinner and resting
We will wake up with a very delicious breakfast and then we will go along the Madre de Dios River and for an hour towards the Native Community of Ese´Ejas, the largest Ese Eja community with about 200 families, of which we will have the opportunity to visit two . The “Rescating Cultural Values” Project, located on Gamitana Island, is working with two native families which showed the culture of their ancestors, their language and customs, clothing and dances, traditions. In our modern and civilized world, we have almost forgotten the existence of ancient cultures and traditions. An ancient indigenous tradition such as the Ese´Eja reveals the customs and way of life of the indigenous peoples. They give us the opportunity to have direct contact with a people of ancient warriors and hunters and share their ancestral customs. And of course I think that these customs will not be lost and In the afternoon we will have time to do rustic fishing in the Madre de Dios River, where with a bit of luck we will have the opportunity to catch some species such as the pictus catfish, the small mouth, the armored catfish and the red-eyed piranha and our chef can cook us some delicious soups.
Return to the lodge, dinner and rest.
Very early, we will take the boat back to the Parrot and Parakeet Clay Lick, where they need to eat rich clay that provides them with the necessary salts and minerals to metabolize and neutralize the toxins and acids of the flowers, fruits and seeds on which they feed. They feed early each day, therefore they congregate in the salt flats, clay walls along the rivers and streams in the Madre de Dios region of the Amazon rainforest. We return to the lodge, have breakfast and return to Puerto Maldonado.
